OLN Explores Mother Nature’s Dark Side with Daring Canadian Stormchaser George Kourounis on Angry Planet, March 6

Climate change and global warming are critical issues facing our planet and these environmental changes are resulting in increasingly bizarre and violent weather around the world. Go inside some of the world’s most amazing weather phenomena with George Kourounis, intrepid stormchaser and host of the new six-part series Angry Planet airing Tuesdays at 9:30 p.m. ET/10:30 p.m. PT premiering March 6 on OLN.

Throughout the series, witness ferocious hurricanes and tornadoes, volcanoes spitting molten lava, floods from melting glaciers and raging forest fires. Catch the behind-the-scenes adventures and misadventures of Kourounis and his associates as they explore the world’s wildest weather and the continuing disintegration of the environment.

Kourounis has been one of Canada’s most active and fearless stormchasers for over 10 years. “I’m fascinated by nature at its ugliest,” says Kourounis about his dangerous passion. “These are the new frontiers of our changing planet in the 21st century and I just have to be there.”

Over the past few years Kourounis has logged more than 65 appearances on North American news programs who have tapped into to his wild-weather expertise, including CTV Newsnet, BBC-TV, CNN-Anderson Cooper 360, Daily Planet and The Weather Network.

In the first episode Kourounis visits Oklahoma City, capital of North America’s “Tornado Alley.” While tracking a building storm that threatens the city, he chases a hail storm, fights to get in the middle of a wild dust-devil and explores the offbeat roadside attractions of the American Midwest.
